Thiago Almada currently plays in the Argentine Primera Division for Velez Sarsfield. The Argentinian youngster can play as a winger or midfielder. He made his debut for the club in the 2018/19 season going on to play 21 times scoring four goals. Last season he played four more games scoring one more goal than the previous season.
At just 19 years old Almada has already made a big impression and has attracted a lot of interest. The youngster hasn’t just played at club level, he’s also played for his country with the u20’s. It’s clear Almada has a very bright future ahead of him and he wouldn’t be the first Argentine to join Manchester United.
There are many clubs who have shown big interest in the youngster, its not just United. Barcelona, Inter Milan, Leeds and Liverpool have also been eyeing him up, but recent reports suggest United have won the race for his signature.
It’s being reported that United have managed to avoid his £22 million release clause and instead the deal will only amount to £14 million. Almada has been on United’s radar for some time. If the deal did get done he would be another great addition to United’s ever growing list of exciting youngsters.
